2011 Kia Carens

Kia announced new pricing and specification for its new 2011 Kia Carens MPV.

Using the same nomenclature as the existing Kia range (1, 2 & 3), the new Carens range has been condensed to just 4 models, with just one 1.6 petrol derivative and 3 diesels. The move means that features that would be otherwise optional, are now standard on the entry level models.

5 and 7 seats are still key features, the latter only available on the 2 and 3 grade. Engines are now Euro V rated meaning lower emissions and cheaper annual road tax.

The 1.6 CRDi Carens ‘1’ model moves away from the temporary spare wheel which has now been replaced with a tyre mobility kit, meaning that both petrol and diesel ‘1’ models feature the kit as standard.

On top spec ‘3’ grade models, the metallic door scuff plates and cruise control from the outgoing LS model do not carry over.

• Carens 1 – 1.6 petrol (5 seat) – £13995
• Carens 1 – 1.6 CRDi (5 seat) – £15195
• Carens 2 – 1.6 CRDi (7 seat) – £16745
• Carens 3 – 1.6 CRDi (7 seat) – £18280
